The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach website Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area each day. The sassa service issue developed for intervention encounters a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
